Permanent MakeUp

Permanent makeup, also known as Cosmetic Tattoo, Micropigmentation and Semi Permanent MakeUp, is one of the fastest growing sectors in the health and beauty industry. Cosmetic tattoo procedures have been used succesfully for many years by both celebrities and business women alike, creating makeup looks that last.

Eyebrows and lips

For perfectly balanced and shaped eyebrows, lipstick that stays put and for non-smudge eyeliner, permanent makeup is every woman's answer. Coloured pigments are implanted into the skin to replicate makeup while creating a beautiful and fresh look that lasts all day, every day. Whether you are 18 or 88, we have a treatment that will not only simplify your makeup up routine, but will improve your confidence, self esteem and overall look. Permament makeup subtly enhances your natural beauty.

Cosmetic Eyebrows tattoo

Cosmetic tattoos include hairstrokes and shadow. Perfect shape and color of eyebrows are the biggest advantages. Cosmetic eyebrow tattoos give us the opportunity to fill in the gaps of hair in the brow line. We can also correct asymmetry and eyebrow color. Cosmetic eyebrow tattoos compared to eyebrow pencil makeup are durable, water resistant and it does not smudge. Permanent makeup guarantees your eyebrows look perfect throughout the day and night.

Pigment applied to the lips allow you to emphasize the shape and contour of your lips and allow us to make lipliner, lip colour and blend. Thanks to the full range of colour available we can make looks natural or dramatic. Finally you can drink with no worries about your lipstick smudging.

We offer top and bottom eyeliner which enhances the eyes natural beauty and facial expressiveness. This method gives us the ability to choose any thickness of lines and modeling for the eye.

How are Permanent MakeUp procedures performed?

Pigment is implanted into the dermal layer of the skin using a state-of-the-art machine designed specifically for the cosmetic market. The machines and the inks used are very different to those used in conventional tattoo clinics.

The treatment lasts for around 2-3 years and are carried out in accordance with strict health and safety protocols for example, only using single use sterile needle cartridges. Your technician will offer you the very best treatment, which will be both subtle and effective.

What type of Permanent MakeUp procedures can be done?

Permanent MakeUp Cosmetic procedures can be very subtle or dramatic depending on what you are looking for.

Options include:

  • Eyebrows
  • Eyeliner, Top and Bottom
  • Lipliner, Lip Color, and Blend
  • Scar Camouflage, Beauty Marks, Hair imitation, Lash Enhancement, and Areola Repigmentation

How much does Permanent MakeUp cost?

Advanced work may be charged between €150 to €250 per hour. The cost of the procedure should not be the most important issue when consulting a potential permanent makeup professional. More important is the training and the skill of the person performing the procedure as well as the confidence of the client in that skill.

A permanent makeup technician who is using proper sterilization, good equipment and has a professional facility will not be the lowest priced person on the block. Here at Purebeau we invest in a sterile and sanitary enviroment and are appropriately insured.  We strive to provide the most professional and effective service. A 'low cost' person can not have all of these or they would not be able to “give away” their services.

How long will the permanent MakeUp last?

Although pigment molecules stay in the skin indefinitely, the colour remains visible for 1-2 years however this varies depending on your age, skin type, colour choice and lifestyle. As with traditional tattooing, you are choosing to make a commitment to a permanent makeup procedure. For optimum results you should expect to attend a colour boost session every 18 months.

Is the Permanent MakeUp procedure painful?

Everyone is different but with advanced new equipment and techniques, discomfort minimal.

Do I have a choice on placement and colour?

Definitely! You are consulted step of the way from the desired shape to colour selection.

How long will it take?

The initial Permanent MakeUp procedure will generally take approximately 2 to 2 ½ hours. There is paperwork to complete, design and colors to discuss, photographs to take, the procedure to perform and the aftercare requirements to discuss.

Follow up or color refresher procedures usually do not require the same amount of time.

What happens after the Permanent MakeUp procedure?

Immediately after the procedure the area treated may appear swollen and the colour will appear darker and more intense. This will last for several days. Complete healing can take up to six weeks as the pigment matures in the skin and for the colour to fully emerge.

Can I remove or change my permanent MakeUp?

The removal of permanent makeup is not an easy process, if at all possible. That is why it is important to select a qualified and experienced professional who has a conservative approach. During the initial application, a 'less is more' philosophy works best. A lighter, more natural color can always be changed or supplemented later with conventional makeup. It can also be adjusted or darkened if necessary with another application at a second (touch-up) appointment. Shape can also be refined at a follow-up visit, but not drastically, so a good original design is a must.

Is Permanent MakeUp safe?

If proper sterilization and disinfection guidelines are met, permanent makeup cosmetics should be completely safe. Professionals in the permanent makeup cosmetic industry routinely attend Occupational Health & Safety administration classes to become well versed in safety principals.

Important things to look for:

  • All needles should be new and sterile for each client. Unopened new and sterile needles should be opened in your presence.
  • Disposable sterilized one-time use machine parts should be purchased by the artist, and disposed of in a sharps container immediately after the procedure has been completed.
  • Personal protection equipment such as disposable one-time use aprons and gloves should be new for each client and changed during the procedure when needed.
  • The technician should be clean and neat.
  • Disposable one-time use chair/bed covering should be new for each client.

What other procedures are available?

Micropigmentation is used extensively in the medical industry for areole pigmentation, scar camouflage, scar and burns relaxation, skin graft re-colouration, scalp camouflage and hair simulation tattooing, surgical scars such as face lift or arm/thigh lift scars, breast uplift / reconstruction scars and cleft lip.
